history: CSP was created in 1978 by C.A.R. Hoare.
C.A.R. Hoare wrote a paper in 1978 about parallel computing in which he included a fragment of a language. Later, this fragment came to be known as CSP. In it, process specifications lead to process creation and coordination. The name stands for Communicating Sequential Processes. Later, the separate computer language Occam was based on CSP.
