history of computers in Germany

Zuse Z1 created in 1938 in Germany, 1 OPS, first mechanical programmable binary computer, storage for a total of 64 numbers stored as 22 bit floating point numbers with 7-bit exponent, 15-bit signifocana [one implicit bit], and sign bit. (See history of programming language)

The first modern computer was the German Zuse computer (Z3) in 1941, 20 OPS, added floating point exceptions, plus and minus infinity, and undefined. (See history of programming language)

Work started on Zuse Z4 in 1942 in Germany. The Zuse Z4 was the first commercial computer, a relay based computer. (See history of programming language)

Plankalkül (Plan Calculus), created in 1945 by Konrad Zuse for the Z3 computer in Nazi Germany, may have been the first programming language (other than assemblers). This was a surprisingly advanced programming language, with many features that didn’t appear again until the 1980s. (See Plankalkül Plan Calculus programming language and history of programming language)

In 1987, a consortium of airlines led by Air France and Lufthansa developed the Amadeus computerized airline reservation system.

Two individuals found a lone pulsar approximately 17,000 light years away in the constellation Vulpecula in August 2010 using their home computers. The discovery was credited to systems analyst Daniel Gebhardt of Universität Mainz, Musikinformatik, Germany, and Chris and Helen Colvin, both information technology professionals of Ames, Iowa. The finding was the first deep-space discovery by Einstein@Home, which uses donated time from home and office computers. The data was collected from the Cornell-managed Arecibo Observatory’s ongoing Pulsar ALFA (PALFA) survey and archived and processed by the Cornell Center for Advanced Computing.

The Apple Store offers Macintosh computers for Germany. In November 1994 Mikhail Gorbachev endorsed Apple Computers in Germany. In trade for the endorsement, Apple donated four Apple Power Macintosh computers to the Moscow office of Green Cross International. Gorbachev stated “A man can either be part of the solution or part of the problem. I have chosen the former.”

information, flag, and maps from Fact Book

United Nations Security Council

The United Natons Security Council has five permanent members, each of whom has veto power. They are: the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and China.

I propose that there are five additional nations that must also be granted permanent seats on the United Nations Security Council: Germany, India, Brazil, Japan, and Egypt.

Germany is a bigger and more influential economy than either Great Britain or France and was the nation where the industrial revolution started. The only reason they are excluded is because of bad timing in that they were on the losing side in World War II.

India is the second most populous nation in the world and one of the oldest civilization on the entire planet. To exclude India is a mockery.

Japan is one of the most important economies in the world and has been a major industrial power for well more than a century. The only reason they are excluded is because of bad timing in that they were on the losing side in World War II.

Brazil is the largest economy and most populous nation in Latin America. That Europe has three permanent members (UK, France, and Russia) and Asia has two permanent members (China and Russia) and North America with only three nations has one permanent member, but all of Central America and all of South America have zero representatives is a mockery.

Egypt is the most populous Arab nation and second most populous African nation. Egypt has long been a leader in modern Middle East affairs and is one of the oldest civilizations on the entire planet. That Europe has three permanent members (UK, France, and Russia) and Asia has two permanent members (China and Russia) and North America with only three nations has one permanent member, but all of Africa have zero representatives and their are no Muslim representatives is a mockery.
